Woodworking for Women Workshop

This class is taught by women to empower women & non-gender conforming individuals in the woodshop. We cover the properties of wood, machine safety, and techniques on the chop saw, including miters, angled cuts & how to cut joinery. Other machines will be introduced as well such as the router, biscuit jointer, and drill press. We’ll show you how to properly sand, and finish your piece with an easy, non-toxic, traditional finish. Each attendee will make a wall-hung shelf. 18+ welcome.
