CicLAvia—West Adams meets University Park connects La Brea and Vermont Aves along Jefferson Blvd and on Vermont Ave between Jefferson and Exposition Blvds, welcoming everyone of all ages and abilities to enjoy this 4.1-mile pop-up park for the day with one’s favorite people-powered way, whether that's walking, jogging, biking, roller skating, skating, or simply spectating. Always free, CicLAvia participants just show up anywhere along the route at any time to enjoy the open streets and to take the time to explore.
Imagine streets alive with joy, laughter, and the freedom to roam. CicLAvia transforms L.A. into a car-free celebration of community, connection, and possibility — places where participants can slow down, connect, and appreciate the city in a new way. CicLAvia is about reimagining our city streets as welcoming spaces for everyone—places for walking, running, rolling, skating, cycling, gathering, and enjoying the moment. As a nonprofit organization, CicLAvia relies on the public’s support to continue bringing opportunities for meaningful community connections, mindful exploration, and greater understanding across Los Angeles.
West Adams is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of L.A. known for its large number of historic buildings and notable homes and mansions. With Victorian mansions and Craftsman bungalows tucked off its boulevard, driving down West Adams can feel like you’re traveling back in time. Many of the core structures were built between the 1880s and 1910s, making the South L.A. neighborhood one of the oldest in the city. Historic Jefferson Park is a quaint neighborhood of bungalows and cottages within the West Adams district and was a 20th-century bedroom community centered on streetcars and trolley stations. University Park is a neighborhood in the South Los Angeles region of Los Angeles which includes USC and the historic residential neighborhoods of North University Park, Chester Place, and St. James Park.
CicLAvia—West Adams meets University Park includes three (3) Hubs filled with plenty of activities and programs along the route. Hubs are walking zones (mandatory bike dismounts) and meeting points along the route with the West Adams Hub located on Jefferson Blvd east of LaBrea Ave; Jefferson Park Hub located on Jefferson Blvd near 3rd Ave; and the University Park Hub located on Vermont Ave, north of Exposition Blvd. Hubs offer family-friendly activities, restrooms, free water refilling stations, free basic bike repair, bike parking, and first aid. Free pedicab rides are available at each hub’s information booth. Use the CicLAvia digital map to plan which businesses, local gems, activities along the route, and Hubs to check out during the event.
